home sweet home

Hi there. I know it's been forever since the last update. I've been busy, to say the least. But now I have some time :)

I can't believe my contract is over. It's gone by incredibly fast and I don't know how I'm going to catch up on everything that's happened. I guess I'll just do it sections.

Ummm... well last I told you guys was that I was transferred to Out & About (the tween program). It was absolutely amazing. I probably had the best job on the ship. Not the least stressful, by any means, but certainly one of the coolest. My team, Joey, Daniel and I totally and completely rocked it. Comments were coming in left and right, our scores were the highest they've ever been in the history of the program and I had a blast. The three of us worked super well together. It was amazing. So were all the other people I hung out with. A group of us started hanging out on a regular basis and we all got pretty close. We started calling ourselves "The Family" and at the end of almost every night we had "Family Time" where we talked, laughed & let out our frustrations with the world. They are an incredible group of people and I count myself lucky to have them all as friends. I really hope that I see them all again.

Oh my ankle! I actually got two and a half days off for that little incident. My goal was to get through the contract without calling in once but unfortunately not being able to walk doesn't really allow you to work :(. So I had to dump the work load on the boys, which they handled beautifully. Honestly, the first day was great because it allowed me to sleep. It's kind of a hot commodity. Especially for me. I need to sleep. The second and third day drove me up the wall. If I had been able to go outside it would've been a different story, but being stuck in the closet of a room was something else. I was very glad to get back to work. My ankle slowly got better and now I feel like it's ready to work out again. I haven't exercised since then, btw. That's more than a month and I've got the chubs to show for it. Haha. The upside of that is that I hung out with people more.

What else... I've been so super lucky. A lot of people get on the ship and can't wait to get off again. I was lucky enough to make an amazing friend, a sister, on the very first day and then have her as a room mate for most of the contract, I landed a great position, I had great team mates. By the time the end of it came around, I was genuinely sad to go. Right now the situation is a little delicate. I'm scheduled to go back to the ship January 30th, but since I'm going to Japan for a much needed rendevous with Woods, that's not going to happen. They didn't let me extend my vacation though, so I'm going to have to resign and reapply when I'm ready to come back late march. I'm hoping to get back on the Wonder. Not only to see my friends but because it'll be doing a whole new itinerary that I would love to be a part of. It's going on 7day cruises to Mexico from LA until mid April and then going to Alaska for the rest of the summer. How amazing would that be?

I've been home for two days now and I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it. Although I love seeing and being with my family AND I get to sleep. The last few weeks there were crazy and 5 months with only 3 days off working 10hrs a day it takes a toll on your body and your naggen.

I'll write more tomorrow.
God knows I have the time now :)

Love you all!
